Filmmaking Competition for Teenagers – ‘Murroe Boher Through My Eyes’

Can you make a short film about what Murroe Boher means to you? What’s great about this area for you? Is it the social-life, nature, sports/other activities you’re involved in…? Murroe Boher Expo 2011 will include an exciting filmmaking competition, so you can show us your take on our place.

Don’t worry if you’ve never made a film before. An experienced filmmaker is running a great (FREE!) 2 hour workshop in January, so you and your friends can learn the tricks of the trade. All you need is a camera or camcorder that can connect to the computer.

· Open to individuals or groups aged 13 to 19.

· Film length: 3- 5 mins.

· Prizes for 1st 2nd and 3rd and the best films will be entered into the Fresh Film Festival in Limerick 2011 in the Belltable Theatre.

Entry for the competition can be on DVD or USB by Feb 8th in time for
Judging for Festival

· No experience needed – workshop will be given on Jan 15th (1-3pm)  in Glenstal Abbey.

Workshop will cover:
Scripting and storyboarding
Camerawork/ Cinematography
Editing film
Sound effects and music
Producing a DVD
