As some of you may recall, our local Murroe Twinning Project went to Budapest this past September to meet our Twinned French friends and share some time together in another part of the world. Besides participating members, a number of people joined us from the local community. It was a marvellous trip and a great success.
Should you wish to see or read more about our trip, please look in the upcoming Murroe-Boher yearly newsletter and/or an upcoming episode in the website, inthecommunity.ie where the secretary speaks more about it. Hopefully, there will also be a slideshow of some of the city as well.
At a recent AGM, Tom Seaver took on the job as Chairperson, retiring Tom Holmes. Both men have been great advocates in their varying roles over the history of the Twinning. Mr. Seaver will bring his expertise, interests and curiousity as we go forward.
Our next planned meeting will be on Monday, the 21st January 2013. For any interested parties, please come to the “Pink Room” at the Community Hall.
