My GGG Grandparents were James Carey and Bridget Duggan from Murroe and Boher. They married July 1st 1821 . They had children Thomas 1822, Margaret 1824, my GG Grandfather James Carey 1829,Catherine 1831,Nancy 1833,John 1835, Mary 1836, Elizabeth 1837, and Rebecca 1839. James emigrated to the US around 1858 and settled down in Brooklyn NY. He married a Bridget Walsh in 1862 in St Paul’s church Brooklyn. Bridget Walsh may also be from Murroe. My GG Grandfather James’s brother Thomas married a Hanora Murphy July 30th 1849 in the RC parish of Newport County Tipp. They had a daughter Rebecca
( an uncommon name in Ireland that the family used) born June 12th 1849 in the Townland of Toorabrien RC parish of Newport County Tipp. They came over to the US with James around 1858 and also settled in Brooklyn. Rebecca married a Thomas Dunlay in 1874 . Thomas was born in Murroe in 1846.His parents were Thomas Dunlay and Mary Kemp. They also came over to the US and settled in Brooklyn.

James and Thomas also had a half brother John Carey born around 1850 in Murroe . Per his death cert his parents were James Carey and Elinore Ryan. He came over to the us in the 1860’s and married a Ellen Coyle and after she died her sister Elizabeth Coyle. They lived in Queens and had a few cows and he worked as a Milkman. Raised 10 children.

Looking to see if anyone sees a connection or has any info on this family. Trying to find Carey and Dunlay relatives in the Murroe/Newport area.
