Munster Junior Semi final: Murroe-Boher 1-16 An Rinn 0-11. All roads lead to Boher, where our recently crowned County Champions welcomed An Rinn, from Waterford, in what was ideal conditions, the game got off to a great start, our girls started off really well with Deirdre ward putting over two fine points to settle their nerves, An Rinn replied with a few points from placed balls, but back we came, with a great goal from Catriona Laffan and then a point from Lisa Ryan. An Rinn however fought their way back mainly through points from frees, with the score at half reading Murroe-Boher 1-7 An Rinn 0-7. The second half was tighter with neither team getting scores too easily, but Niamh Richardson, with another powerful display from mid field, was very accurate from placed balls all day and kept the day light between us and an Rinn. With the last 10mins, we found something extra in tank and pushed on to see out an 8 point win. Again our backs were very solid as they have been all through the year with Mary ryan and Mary O’Reilly catching great ball when it was really needed. Massive thanks to the great support we had today. Well done to all the 1-27 players and the management on this lastest victory. Munster final is up next against Clanmaurice, Kerry, date yet to be confirmed.
